OHT/ Hygienist | Sydney CBD | 2 Days

Oral Health Therapist — 2-3 days per week

We're looking for an experienced OHT/ hygienist to join our busy, modern dental practice in the heart of Sydney, 2-3 days a week. We pride ourselves for providing outstanding dental care, customer service and oral health promotion.

The successful candidate will be dedicated to providing advanced hygiene and periodontal care, delivering tailored oral health education, and championing prevention for patients of all ages. The ideal candidate should have a caring approach and gentle touch, should be able to create connections and build rapport with patients. This is a long term position.

In your day-to-day role you will:

• take a gentle, holistic approach to hygiene, periodontal and preventive care for every generation

• build trusting partnerships with new and existing patients, tailoring treatment to their individual needs and comfort

• deliver clear, motivating oral health education

• be proficient at in-chair whitening procedures

• Keep accurate, detailed clinical records that make continuity of care effortless for the next clinician

• use digital radiography within your scope of practice

• collect dental records, including clinical photos, digital 3D scanning

• work closely with our dentists, helping patients understand their options and referring appropriately when treatment falls outside your scope

About you:

• Current AHPRA registration as an Oral Health Therapist or Dental Hygienist

• At least 2 years of clinical experience

• Eligible to take dental radiographs in New South Wales

• A current NSW Working With Children Check

• Current knowledge of infection control requirements and contemporary preventive practice

• A collaborative, reliable teammate who keeps a busy day running smoothly

• Warm, articulate communication and a professional manner with patients and colleagues alike

• Availability to works Mondays, Wednesdays and/or Fridays (at least 2 of these days)
