About Axxin
Axxin is a growing Australian technology company with global projects developing platforms and products for biomedical diagnostic applications.
Based in the inner Melbourne suburb of Eaglemont, you will be part of a team manufacturing medical diagnostic devices with global reach and scope.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our production assembly team building compact electronics and point of care diagnostics devices. The role involves working within a team on assembly and manufacture performing tasks such as:
Surface mount and through-hole soldering.
Cable and wiring preparation including soldering and crimping.
Assembly of optical subassemblies.
Advising on assembly instructions and procedures.
Maintaining records of assembly checks and measurements.
Placing parts, fitting screws and fasteners in assembly of complete systems, plastic, PCB, and machined mechanical parts.
Use of test jigs and test rigs.
Candidates with experience in the above areas will be considered favourably. Detailed instructions and training are provided for all tasks.
Skills and Experience Requirements
Must be an Australian citizen or have Australian resident status at the time of application.
Mechanical and electrical assembly and soldering experience required.
Strong competency in spoken and written English.
Computer literacy to run specific applications.
Good mechanical aptitude for assembly of mechanisms, housings and electro-mechanical assemblies.
Selection Process
It is anticipated that shortlisted candidates will be interviewed twice in completing selection for this position. Shortlisted candidates may have a short practical assessment of skills during an in-person interview.

Ability to work well with a small team.
Creative problem-solving experience.
Ability to work to deadlines and schedules.
