Retaining wall installer/Project manager

About the role

This is a full-time, hands-on position combining retaining-wall installation, site supervision and project management. You will work closely with the Managing Director and be responsible for helping projects run safely, efficiently and to a high standard from commencement through to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Installing concrete sleeper, steel-post and timber retaining walls

• Leading and working alongside the installation crew

• Reading plans, engineering drawings and job specifications

• Setting out retaining walls and confirming levels and measurements

• Coordinating daily site activities, labour, machinery and materials

• Communicating professionally with clients, builders, engineers and suppliers

• Monitoring workmanship, productivity and project progress

• Identifying site issues and helping find practical solutions

• Ensuring work complies with engineering requirements and company standards

• Maintaining safe, organised and tidy worksites

About you

• Proven experience installing concrete sleeper and/or timber retaining walls

• Experience leading workers or managing construction projects

• The ability to read plans, engineering details and site levels

• Strong knowledge of excavation, drainage and retaining-wall construction

• Good organisational and problem-solving skills

• Clear and professional communication

• A strong focus on quality, safety and attention to detail

• The ability to work independently and take responsibility for a project

• A current Australian driver licence

• A current construction White Card
