Yard hand

We are seeking a customer-focused Yard Hand to join our Northgate site. Reporting to the Yard Supervisor, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for sorting, grading, purchasing and processing scrap metal.

This is a hands-on role offering full training, development opportunities and job security.

What you'll be doing:

• Deliver exceptional customer service to all visitors and customers.
• Load and unload trucks, skip bins and trailers using a forklift.
• Accurately sort and grade scrap metal materials.
• Assist with purchasing and processing scrap metal.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised work environment.
• Follow all OH&S policies and environmental guidelines.

What you'll bring:

• Experience in a yard or labouring environment
• Strong customer service skills and a commitment to providing a positive customer experience.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Good attention to detail.
• A valid Forklift Licence is highly desirable.
