About the role
Are you organised, detail-focused and confident working with stock and inventory systems?
We are looking for a reliable Inventory Officer to support the accurate control and movement of Work in Progress inventory across our Casino manufacturing site.
This hands-on role is responsible for helping ensure our inventory is accurately counted, recorded, stored and supplied to the right areas of the business.
Working closely with our Warehouse, Production and Retail teams, you will play an important role in maintaining inventory accuracy, investigating stock discrepancies and supporting safe, efficient stock flow across the site.
About the role
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting regular cycle counts, stock checks and inventory audits.
Accurately recording stock movements within the inventory management system.
Maintaining clear identification, labelling and organisation of WIP stock.
Supporting the investigation and reconciliation of stock variances.
Managing FIFO stock rotation to minimise ageing, waste and discrepancies.
Counting, recording and reconciling stock returned from the Retail area.
Supplying WIP stock to Retail based on operational requirements.
Preparing basic inventory, variance and stock adjustment reports.
Maintaining accurate stock movement, return and reconciliation records.
Identifying and escalating stock losses, discrepancies or recurring process issues.
Supporting site stocktakes and other inventory-related activities.
Maintaining a clean, safe and well-organised WIP storage area.
Following food safety, quality, GMP, hygiene and workplace safety requirements.
Contributing to improvements in stock control, FIFO compliance and storage practices.
About you
To be successful in this position, you will be reliable, organised and comfortable working with numbers, systems and operational teams.
You will ideally bring:
Previous experience in inventory control, warehousing, stock management or a similar operational role.
Experience conducting stock counts, cycle counts or inventory reconciliations.
A good understanding of stock movements, inventory accuracy and variance investigation.
Experience using inventory systems and completing stock-related documentation.
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Good numerical and problem-solving skills.
The ability to organise your workload and manage competing priorities.
A practical, solutions-focused approach to inventory issues.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
The ability to work independently and escalate issues when required.
A strong commitment to safety, quality and housekeeping standards.
Experience within food manufacturing, FMCG, production or warehouse operations will be highly regarded.
A forklift license and previous exposure to FIFO, GMP, HACCP or food safety requirements would also be advantageous but are not essential.
Why join us?
This is an opportunity to take ownership of an important inventory function within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will work with a supportive operational team and have the opportunity to contribute to improvements in inventory accuracy, stock control and warehouse efficiency.
Apply now by submitting your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your relevant experience.
