The role

Due to growth, we are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Safety Advisory Manager to lead a team and foster a proactive, high-performing safety culture.

This is a pivotal role where you will influence positive safety behaviours and partner with stakeholders to create a proactive and resilient safety environment.

Reporting into the Group Safety Manager, this role will be working to embed safety across operations, capital works and development projects.

What you will be doing

• Leading, managing and mentoring the team of safety advisors, setting clear objectives, managing day-to-day workload, priorities and professional development to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
• Supporting delivery of the group safety strategy, ensuring compliance with WHS legislation, safety frameworks and governance requirements and escalating risks in a timely manner
• Providing expert safety advice across property and construction environments, managing risk assessments, safe systems of work and the hierarchy of controls, supported by proactive hazard identification
• Overseeing contractor safety management, compliance and assurance activities and lead incident investigations ensuring thorough root cause analysis, timely reporting and effective corrective actions
• Partnering with operational and facilities teams to embed safe practices and build a proactive safety culture, designing and delivering training programs to build capability across the business
• Monitoring HSE performance through audits, inspections and reporting, translating safety data into clear insights for governance and decision-making, while driving continuous improvement through benchmarking, innovation and emerging technology

What makes you stand out

You will be a tertiary educated Safety specialist with prior experience in HSE management within property management, construction or multi-site management, with deep knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management and safety systems.

You will have experience managing contractor safety and compliance processes and experience in report writing and trend analysis.

You will have the exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build to build effective stakeholder relationships.

This is a fast-paced role that will suit a Safety specialist who can manage a team in a dynamic environment and wants to build their career within a property investment leader.
