Boilermaker/Fabricator

Coasteel Engineering is a family-owned and operated structural steel fabrication company on the Sunshine Coast. Due to an increase in demand for our services, an opportunity has arisen for a Boilermaker/Fabricator to join our team.  

The Position:

The position is full-time (secure employment!) and available for immediate start.  Ordinary hours are Monday to Friday, with plenty of overtime hours available at overtime rates.

The position will involve a wide range of structural steel fabrication work for residential, commercial/industrial and custom projects. There will be an opportunity for the right candidate to be trained in-house to operate our advanced technologies, including CNC machinery and robotic welders.  There is also a possibility of on-site work if required.

Successful applicants will have the following:

• Trade Qualification (Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade) 

• Prior experience in structural steel

• The ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings

• Knowledge of safe work practices and WH&S

• Good communication skills

• Pride in workmanship and attention to detail

• Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team

• Current drivers’ license 

• Forklift license and/or EWP ticket desirable but not mandatory

• On-site experience highly regarded
