About the role

We are seeking an experienced Flooding and Drainage Engineer to join our team in Wollongong. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and as a part of a team under the direction of Senior Engineers on Flooding and Drainage projects, documentation and reporting.

• Lead the delivery of flood modelling and flood management projects for private development and public infrastructure.

• Develop TU-FLOW models, produce flood mapping and reporting deliverables.

• Drainage design, hydrological and hydraulic modelling and analysis.

• Support business development through client relations and liaison.

• Quote and tender on Civil and Flood related projects.

• Assist in the development of junior staff as needed.

Skills and experience

• Candidates shall be capable of autonomously producing flood models, flood maps and reports using TU-FLOW, QGIS and AutoCAD.

• Chartered or equivalent experience level (8+ years experience) as a Civil or Flooding Engineer.

• Candidates should be have significant experience with software packages including AutoCAD, TU-FLOW, HEC-RAS, QGIS, 12D, WBNM, DRAINS and have a thorough understanding of drainage and flooding.

• Candidates should have a solid working knowledge of Australian Rainfall and Runoff 2019.

• Able to work autonomously and within a team environment.

• Good communication and rapport skills with clients.

• Good written communication and report writing skills.

• Valid Australian Drivers License.

• Experience with quoting and tendering on Engineering projects.
