Fabricator/ Sheet Metal worker - Gladstone Sheet Metal

The opportunity

Gladstone Sheet metal is seeking an enthusiastic fabricator/ sheet metal workers to join our team. This is a full-time role based in Gladstone and Central Queensland, where you will be responsible for delivering high-quality sheet metal and fabrication work as part of our Trades & Services operations.

What you'll be doing

• Fabricate and install a range of metal products including ductwork, mild steel, aluminium and stainless steel fabricated products and other custom items

• Read and interpret technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication and installation

• Operate various sheet metal machinery and tools such as press brakes, folders, shears and welding equipment

• Carry out routine maintenance and quality checks on equipment

• Work collaboratively with the wider team to deliver projects on time and to specification

• Maintain a safe and organised work environment, following all health and safety protocols

What we're looking for

• Trade qualification in sheet metal fabrication or a related discipline

• Experience as a sheet metal tradesman, ideally within the HVAC or manufacturing industries but not essential

• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications

• Skilled in operating a range of sheet metal machinery and tools, including welding equipment

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team

• A proactive approach to safety and a commitment to maintaining a clean, organised work environment
