Reports To: The Managing Director

Renumeration: Full-time position offering a salary of $80,000 - $90,000 + superannuation per annum.

Position Overview:

Adelaide City Door Company are commercial and industrial door specialists that provide repair and maintenance services for counterweight doors, roller doors/shutters/grilles, sliding doors, sectional doors etc.) and automated door operators.

Job Description:

The company is seeking a motivated and reliable Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, fault diagnosis, installation as required and repair of commercial and industrial door systems within Adelaide, South Australia.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Travel to sites as required to service, maintain and repair industrial and commercial roller doors including counterweight doors, roller doors/shutters/grilles, sliding doors, sectional doors etc.) and automated door operators.

· Resolve technical or mechanical issues on-site where required.

· Liaise with clients in a professional and efficient manner.

· Available for emergency callouts.

· Complete installations as required and ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, to the company’s high standard.

· Completing accurately, service reports / quotes / work notes including phone numbers, email addresses etc. to enable the office to keep up to date records.

Skills & Qualifications

· At least 3 years’ of relevant Service Technician experience including:

o Maintaining doors by checking drive chains, grub screw, checking for oil leaks, bearing conditions, brackets, guide fixings and end blocks.

o Servicing door webbing, end clips, curtain, slat and bottom rail conditions.

o Checking sliding door carriages, tracks, spring tension and motor limit to ensure sets are correct.

o Diagnose and repair commercial and industrial door systems including realignment, tension adjustments, motor travel limit resets and general adjustments as required.

· Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent problem-solving skills.

· Be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid working visa.

· Capacity to travel on short notice to various job sites in South Australia.

· Willing to obtain a valid White Card and Driver Licence.

· The ability to work responsibly without supervision but also as a team player.

· Excellent problem solving, planning and organisational skills.

· Good communication and professional customer service skills

· Clear and accurate written and oral skills

· Reliable and good work ethic

· Attention to detail and care in workmanship

· Initiative and willingness to learn

Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
