Business Development Manager

Are you an experienced business development professional looking for an opportunity to step into a strategically important role within a leading professional services environment?

We are partnering with a highly regarded global professional services firm to appoint a Business Development Manager on a 12-month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with senior leaders and play a hands-on role in managing and growing some of the organisation's most important client relationships.
 
The opportunity:
 
A key priority for this role will be supporting the management and development of strategic client relationships within the Financial Institutions sector. Working closely with senior business development leadership and the sector leadership team, you will help drive key growth priorities, identify opportunities and ensure a coordinated and commercially focused approach to client development.
 
This is a broad and visible role, offering exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to make a tangible impact from day one.
 
Key responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the development and execution of client plans for key Financial Institutions relationships
• Working closely with senior relationship leads to identify, develop and convert opportunities
• Providing strategic business development advice across client development, market positioning and growth initiatives
• Supporting account planning, client intelligence and relationship activity
• Developing compelling value propositions and go-to-market approaches
• Partnering with internal stakeholders to deliver strategic campaigns and business development initiatives
• Supporting proposals, pitches and other growth opportunities as required
• Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders and acting as a trusted and commercially minded advisor

About you:
 
You will be an experienced Business Development Manager with a background in professional services, ideally law. You will be comfortable working with senior stakeholders and have a strong understanding of strategic client development and account management.
 
Experience within, or a genuine understanding of, the Financial Institutions sector will be highly regarded. Most importantly, you will bring strong commercial judgement, excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to quickly establish credibility in a fast-paced environment.
