We are seeking to establish a pool of talented Registered and Enrolled Nurses to expand the Fiona Stanley & Fremantle Hospitals Group nursing team.  If you have experience in or are interested in expanding your skills in the areas below, please read on for more about this exciting opportunity.

Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH)

The major tertiary-quaternary hospital in the South Metropolitan area and offers comprehensive health care services to adults, youth and children, offering:

Fremantle Hospital (FH)

Provides specialist hospital services and plays a vital role in supporting the tertiary-quaternary services of Fiona Stanley Hospital. It delivers specialist inpatient and outpatient services including aged care and elective surgical services in the following specialties:

• General medicine
• Geriatric medicine (including subacute)
• Rehabilitation (including Geriatric, Neuro)
• General surgery
• Day Admissions Centre
• Orthopaedics
• Plastic surgery
• Specialised hand surgery
• Ear, nose and throat (ENT)
• Gynaecological
• Dental and maxillo-facial
• Endoscopy
• Ophthalmology
• Urology
• Vascular
• Mental Health

• A Curriculum Vitae (CV) - max 3 pages
• Name, position and contact details of two (2) professional referees from within the past twelve (12) months, one of whom must be a current Line Manager. Include work email address and ensure they have agreed to provide a reference if contacted.
• In your application, there will be a question in regards to Essential Criterion 2 for your respective position, please answer in 250 words or less, if you do not answer this question you will not be considered.
• If you do not have your AHPRA registration, please apply once it is finalised.

What happens after I apply?

• This is an “open-ended” recruitment pool, and as such the following should be noted:  
• The panel will monitor this recruitment pool for applications and will assess on a regular basis.  
• The Nursing Recruitment Manager will review your CV and references.
• Application outcomes may be delayed if referee details are not provided at the time of submission. Please ensure all referee contact information is current and accurate. It is your responsibility to confirm that your recent referees have agreed to provide a reference if contacted.
• If suitable, you will be added to the recruitment pool.
• Health Support Services (HSS) will email you confirming your status (successful or unsuccessful, check your spam/junk mail).
• Nurse Unit Managers (NUMs) will contact you directly if a suitable position arises.
• You will be eligible for positions that become available until 31st December 2026. 

A few important notes if successful to the pool:

• If you do not hear from a NUM, it means either:
  • Your application wasn’t selected, or
  • There are no current vacancies in your chosen area.
  • However, you will remain in the pool until 31st December 2026.
