About the AppointmentWIN Higher Education invites expressions of interest from experienced higher education professionals for appointment to its Academic Board.
The Academic Board is the Institute's principal academic governance body and operates under delegation from the Board of Directors. It provides academic leadership and oversight of academic quality, academic standards, learning and teaching, student success, scholarship and continuous improvement across the Institute.
Academic Board members contribute their expertise, experience and independent judgement to support effective academic governance and the ongoing development of the Institute.
The Academic Board meets five times each year, with additional meetings convened where required.
About YouApplications are invited from experienced higher education professionals who can demonstrate:
Significant experience within the Australian higher education sector.
A strong understanding of academic governance and quality assurance.
Experience in academic leadership, curriculum development, learning and teaching, research, or higher education governance.
Knowledge of the Higher Education Standards Framework (Threshold Standards) 2021 and the Australian higher education regulatory environment.
Strong communication, analytical and strategic decision-making skills.
The ability to contribute sound, independent judgement to academic governance.
A commitment to the highest standards of integrity, professionalism and academic excellence.
