Product Lead| Energy Markets | Trading
Work alongside traders, structurers and commercial teams at the intersection of energy, financial markets and technology.
We’re looking for a Product Manager who understands energy or environmental commodities markets and can turn complex market requirements into products, platforms and capabilities that make a genuine commercial impact.
You might be working in energy technology, market analytics, trading systems, a retailer, generator or another part of the energy ecosystem.
Profiles with bank, hedge fund or trading house experience are also regarded.
What matters is that you understand markets, you're intellectually curious, driven and capable of leading a team to deliver complex and innovative solutions for sophisticated users.

The role
You'll work closely with people operating at the sharp end of energy markets, understanding their workflows, challenges and opportunities and translating them into clear product priorities.
You'll have exposure to the full product lifecycle – from identifying problems and shaping strategy through to working with technology teams to deliver solutions.

• Own and develop product strategy, priorities and roadmaps
• Work closely with traders, structurers, sales, analysts, risk and technology teams
• Develop a detailed understanding of trading and market workflows and identify opportunities to improve the products and technology supporting them
• Translate complex commercial and market requirements into clear product requirements
• Prioritise initiatives based on user value, commercial impact and technical feasibility
• Use market developments, user feedback and data to continually improve the product
• Navigate the operational, risk, governance and regulatory considerations that come with operating in sophisticated markets
• Build strong relationships with users and become a trusted link between markets and technology

Qualifications
At the heart of this role is an understanding of energy or commodity markets and an ability to build products around the people operating within them.
You'll ideally bring:

• Experience in energy markets, commodities, trading, market analytics or financial markets
• Product management, product ownership, business analysis or technology delivery experience
• A strong bias for action – you’re driven by outcomes, comfortable taking ownership and can lead a cross-functional team from ambiguity to a high-quality product delivered within a quick timeframe
• An understanding of how market participants use data, analytics and technology to make commercial decisions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• The ability to take complex market concepts and translate them into intuitive product and technology solutions
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to operate across commercial and technical teams
• A commercial mindset and genuine curiosity about what moves energy and commodity markets
