About the role 

Working as part of the site maintenance team at Mt Carlton, you will be responsible for planned and breakdown maintenance across the processing plant and mobile maintenance, helping ensure equipment remains safe, reliable and available.

This role will be offered on a Max Term Full Time Contract and will see you work a 8/6 Roster Dayshift Only. This role will be DIDO/BIBO from the Townsville Region. Accommodation and Meals are supplied whilst on site. 

Key duties will include:

• Carrying out preventative and corrective maintenance on mobile plant and processing equipment
• Performing fabrication, welding and structural repairs
• Repair and replacement of chutes, hoppers, guards, platforms and other plant components
• Conducting inspections and identifying wear, damage and potential equipment failures
• Supporting shutdown and major maintenance activities
• Responding to breakdowns and completing repairs safely and efficiently

To be successful, you will ideally have:

• Australian-recognized trade certificate. 
• Previous experience within mining, mineral processing or heavy industrial environments
• Ability to diagnose issues and complete repairs with minimal supervision
• Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary maintenance team
• Current Australian Drivers License – Essential
• Right to Work in Australia – Essential
