Typical Hours: Approximately 4:00am – 1:30pm, Monday to Friday

South East Queensland Hauliers (SEQH) is a family-owned and operated wharf logistics provider based in Hemmant, just minutes from the Port of Brisbane.

We are looking for an experienced Day Shift Allocator to join our growing operations team. This is a hands-on operational role suited to someone who is organised, proactive and confident coordinating drivers, customers and fleet movements.

You will coordinate FCL container movements across Brisbane and surrounding areas, ensuring efficient fleet utilisation and excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities include:

• Allocating sideloaders and coordinating daily fleet movements.

• Managing container collections, deliveries, de-hires and slot bookings.

• Liaising with drivers, customers, workshop and internal teams.

• Monitoring fleet movements and adjusting schedules as required.

• Maintaining Chain of Responsibility (CoR) compliance.

• Approving driver timesheets and completing operational administration.

• Assisting with fleet planning and optimisation.

As with most industries, transport has its peaks and quieter periods. Container volumes, customer demand, vessel schedules and seasonal activity can all impact the workload.

During busy periods, things can ramp up quickly. During quieter periods, we expect the successful applicant to remain productive by focusing on planning, preparation, administration, upcoming work and supporting the wider operations team.

The successful applicant must be flexible and comfortable with changing priorities and workload.

The typical roster is 4:00am – 1:30pm, Monday to Friday. However, occasional changes to start and finish times may be required to support operational and business needs, including occasional later or night-shift work.

• Previous transport allocation experience is essential.

• Strong communication and organisational skills.

• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

• Confident communicating with drivers and customers.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and take ownership.

• Experience with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.

• Ability to remain productive during quieter periods.

• Flexible approach to changing operational requirements.

• Available to work full-time from our Hemmant office.

• $95,000 – $100,000 + Super + Overtime, based on experience.
