What You'll Do
The Supervisor Visitor Experience (Extended Hours) is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to new and existing visitors to Melbourne Gardens, while leading the Visitor Experience team during late afternoons and evenings throughout the Daylight Savings period.
This role is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of Melbourne Gardens and supporting the Visitor Experience team to deliver engaging, efficient and high-quality visitor experiences through roaming activities and effective incident response, in line with RBGV emergency response protocols.
Acting as Chief Warden for the site, the Supervisor will coordinate responses to incidents and liaise with emergency services as required.
The successful applicant will work from 3pm to 8pm, including weekends and public holidays, on a rotating roster of 3 days (15 hours) one week and 4 days (20 hours) the following week.
This is a fixed-term contract from 1 October 2026 to 31 March 2027.
What You'll Bring
You'll bring demonstrated experience managing a customer service team in a significant cultural, scientific, tourism or heritage organisation. You have a strong history of leading, organising and motivating teams to achieve success and hit branch targets. You can respond calmly and professionally to high-pressure or emergency situations in a public environment and utilise sound decision-making skills to ensure a safe and positive outcome. You take pride in your work, delivering top-quality customer service to key stakeholders using your sound communication and interpersonal skills. You are now looking to join a renowned Victorian organisation in an integral role, supporting the business in some of the busiest periods.
A First Aid certificate and valid Victorian Driver's Licence are essential. An interest in plants, sustainability or culture will be an advantage.
