We’re looking for experienced Anaesthetic Nurses who are eager to deepen their expertise and gain exposure to some of the most complex and high‑acuity cases in NSW.

This role is an exciting opportunity for Registered Nurses with critical care experience to join a perioperative team, make a career change and upskill in a new specialty. In the first 3 months of this Anaesthetic Training Program, you will have the chance to undertake observational training with a senior anaesthetic nurse, rotating between selected clinical areas, complete a CEWD led 5-day course focused on transitioning nurses into perioperative environments, including anaesthetics.
For the first six months, the role will involve shift work before transitioning to a rotating roster. Training will include SIMS and classroom-based studies.

Ideal Candidate
Current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).Understanding of evidence informed practice and critical thinking.Commitment to person centred care and NSW Health Core Values.Effective interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills within a multidisciplinary team.A minimum of 3 years' experience in a critical care area or ward experience in a major surgical specialty. Ability to work a 7-day rotating roster, with participation of on-calls, night and weekend shifts.
