PRIMARY OBJECTIVE
Ensure that the Power Services technical standards and specifications for the design, selection, installation and construction of the diverse range of
assets are aligned with good industry practice and meet the required performance and risk standards in terms of people and asset safety, reliability,
compliance and financial performance. The primary focus is equipment specifications and standards including standard designs applied for regulated
and non-regulated network assets across the Northern Territory’s Transmission and Distribution systems, remote sites and minor centres.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Asset Standards & Engineering Governance
• Develop, maintain, and continuously improve network and asset standards, engineering specifications, and technical governance frameworks

Asset Performance & Reliability
• Conduct investigations into asset failures, determine root causes, and recommend corrective and preventive actions to improve network
corporate values and strategies.
Team & Organisational Contribution
• Make a positive contribution to Power Services through pro-active team membership, innovation, effective interpersonal and management

SELECTION CRITERIA
Qualification & Skills Experience
Essential • Mandatory minimum 3 or 4 year Science and • Experience in Power Industry and a high level of
Engineering degree recognised in Australia. Knowledge of electrical systems and equipment used for
technology for transmission and distribution equipment.
Desirable • Understanding of codes and legislative rules governing • Experience and working knowledge in analysis of power
the industry (IEC, Australian Standards, NER, NT NER, network reliability.
NTC, etc.). • Awareness and training of ISO55000 suite of asset
