Marketing & Communications Officer

• Salary: $98,665.32 - $113,465.11 plus 12% Super
• Position title: Communications Officer
• Temporary full-time opportunity (until 31 December 2027)

About the role

In this role, you will help devise and execute exciting marketing and communications campaign strategies, produce high-quality content to support projects and events, and champion new and exciting ways to communicate with our community. Your responsibilities will include:

• Marketing Council’s exciting program of events, activations and initiatives across arts, culture, entertainment, community service and more!
• Developing and producing high-quality written, visual and digital content across Council's communications platforms (website, social media, e-newsletters and print publications)
• Supporting communications for Council projects and policy initiatives, translating complex information into clear, accessible content for diverse audiences
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders across Council departments to gather information and coordinate communications activities
• Assisting in the planning and delivery of marketing, communications and engagement campaigns
• Maintaining content calendars and ensuring timely delivery of communications materials

Skills & Experience

• Tertiary qualifications in communications, marketing or a relevant field, or commensurate industry experience.
• A minimum of two years industry experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships
• Exceptional written communication skills with great attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and manage competing priorities.
