Accounting assistant

The Opportunity

We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our dynamic finance team in our Springvale, VIC office. This full-time role will provide you with the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals and gain valuable experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss reports, and cash flow statements

• Perform general accounting duties such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations

• Provide administrative support to the finance team, including filing, data entry, and document management

• Contribute to the month-end and year-end close processes

• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve financial queries and discrepancies

• Support the implementation of new accounting systems and processes

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 2 years' experience in an accounting or finance role

• Strong working knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures

• Proficiency in using accounting software, such as MYOB or Xero

• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting or a related field is desirable
