The Position…

With the recent growth in their business, they are currently seeking a Mechanical Fitter Apprentice to join the team in their engineering facility.This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to pursue a career in the mechanical industry, with a diversity of projects and skills.

Key responsibilities include:

• Prep and assembly of manufactured components
  
• Installation and securing hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  
• Manufacturing or modifying components
  
• Troubleshooting and repair of faulty equipment
  
• Reading and interpreting drawings or specifications
  
• Maintaining and adhering to health and safety in the workplace
  
• Ensuring a clean and safe work environment
  

• Normal hours - 10.5 hours Monday to Thursday;
  
• Normal hours - 6 hours Friday
  
• Over time when required
  

The Ideal Candidate… 

The ideal candidate will have the following:

• Genuine interest in pursuing a career in the mechanical fitting industry
  
• Valid Australian C Class drivers’ license or reliable transport
  
• Full Australian work rights
  
• National police clearance (or willingness to obtain)
  
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  
• Strong commitment to safety and quality
  
• Motivated, hard-working, and a positive attitude
  
• Ability to work well in a team
  
• Current High-Risk License – Forklift (preferred, but not essential)
  

• Learning new skills & trade, with mentorship
