About the role
Do you want your work to make a difference for NSW?
Working to protect the state’s environment and heritage.
Our Biodiversity Offsets Branch is currently seeking to appoint Project Officers in the Biodiversity Assessment Method (BAM) team. This is an exciting time to join the team, as we implement the NSW government’s recommendations after reviewing the BAM. We are a supportive, collaborative and dedicated team with flexible working arrangements. We develop and implement biodiversity programs that support the NSW Biodiversity Offsets Scheme.
The role contributes to developing operational policies to support BOS stakeholders, supporting local government training programs, and assisting the development of tools and resources for accredited assessors.
About You
You are a highly organised and self-motivated professional who thrives in a high-volume, fast-paced environment with competing priorities and tight deadlines. You can work autonomously to deliver quality outcomes, effectively manage multiple projects, and consistently meet agreed workplan objectives.
You demonstrate strong accountability for the accuracy, integrity, and quality of your work, providing sound advice and delivering projects on time and within budget. Your attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to maintain high standards under pressure enable you to contribute effectively to organisational and program objectives.
