Housekeeping Supervisor

One For The Road Group is seeking an experienced and hands on Housekeeping Supervisor to lead housekeeping operations across the Federal Hotel accommodation.

This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining exceptional accommodation standards, enjoys leading a small team and is prepared to share the cleaning duties when required.

About the Role

You will coordinate daily housekeeping activities, ensuring guest rooms, apartments, function areas and shared spaces are clean, well presented and ready on time.

Key responsibilities include:

·         Allocating daily workloads based on arrivals, departures and occupancy

·         Inspecting rooms and apartments before release

·         Supervising, training and supporting housekeeping staff

·         Assisting with cleaning during busy periods or staff absences

·         Managing linen, amenities, cleaning products and equipment

·         Maintaining accurate room status and housekeeping records

·         Responding professionally to guest requests and concerns

·         Reporting maintenance issues, hazards, damage and lost property

·         Monitoring labour, stock usage, wastage and housekeeping costs

·         Ensuring compliance with workplace safety and chemical handling requirements

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have:

·         Experience in hotel, serviced apartment or commercial housekeeping

·         Previous experience supervising or training housekeeping staff

·         High standards of cleanliness and attention to detail

·         The ability to organise workloads and meet strict check-in deadlines

·         Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, manual handling and workplace safety

·         Good communication and record keeping skills

·         A professional, discreet and trustworthy approach

·         The physical capacity to perform hands on housekeeping duties

·         Availability to work mornings, weekends and public holidays

·         Current Australian working rights
