About the role

Our Perth Distribution Centre is the home to several specialist branches/teams, taking advantage of grouped logistics, repair and maintenance functions. In the DC, we have our Access, Earthmoving & Site Service, Traffic, Pump & Power specialist businesses. You will be responsible for supporting the operations of the DC by performing general yard duties, including;

You will be responsible for supporting the operations of the Distribution Centre through performing general yard duties, including;

• Provide exceptional customer service at all times
• Assist customers in the yard when necessary.
• Meet and greet customers in a proactive and friendly manner during loading/unloading
• Branch facilities cleaning and maintenance as required
• Equipment 'check in' and 'check out' inspections and processes
• Equipment cleaning, order picking in yard, collating and checking for Ready For Hire prior to loading.
• Perform equipment loading/unloading

About you

• Successful applicants have come from various backgrounds such as; Customer service, building & construction, hospitality, retail, driver, landscaping, trade & maintenance
• Fork Lift operator's ticket preferred
• A genuine interest in helping others
• A level of physical fitness as required to complete role requirements
• Strong communication skills including the ability to follow directions, ask questions to ensure understanding, and proactively provide information to team members
• An interest in mechanics and construction equipment and a desire to learn
• A valid drivers licence
