About the role
Aeson Power is an Australian energy storage company delivering advanced lithium-ion and next-generation sodium-ion battery technologies across residential, commercial and utility-scale applications. Our portfolio includes residential batteries, C&I BESS, MW-scale containerised energy storage systems and automotive sodium-ion batteries. We are expanding our Australian engineering team to support rapid business growth.
About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Australian engineering team. This role combines technical support, commissioning, product introduction, field engineering and customer-facing technical leadership across residential, commercial and utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
Key Responsibilities· Commission and troubleshoot residential, commercial and utility-scale BESS.
· Provide advanced technical support to installers, EPCs and distributors.
· Configure PCS, EMS, batteries, inverters and communications (CAN, RS485, Modbus).
· Support New Product Introduction (NPI), field validation and product improvement.
· Deliver installer training and technical workshops.
· Develop technical documentation, commissioning procedures and troubleshooting guides.
· Support compliance, certification and Australian standards.
· Work closely with global R&D to improve products for the Australian market.
Requirements· Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
· 3–8+ years' experience in BESS, solar, power electronics or field engineering.
· Strong commissioning and troubleshooting capability.
· Knowledge of AS/NZS 3000, 4777 and 5139.
· Experience with Victron, SMA, Deye, Fronius, Growatt or Sungrow is highly regarded.
· Mandarin is highly regarded but not essential.
· Australian working rights.
