Baker / Pastry Chef – Full Time

Salary Range:- $75K - $85K per annum (plus Superannuation)

The QuickTurn Hospitality is seeking an experienced Baker / Pastry Chef to join one of our client bakeries in Richmond, NSW. This is a full-time opportunity located in the regional area of Richmond, offering a supportive work environment and excellent career growth opportunities.

To be considered for the position you must have extensive experience working in a busy venue.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing and baking a range of breads, pastries, and other bakery items.

• Checking the quality of raw materials and weighing ingredients

• Kneading, maturing, cutting, moulding, mixing and shaping dough

• Monitoring oven temperatures and product appearance to determine baking times

• Coordinating the forming, loading, baking, unloading, de-panning and cooling of batches of bread, rolls and pastry products

• Glazing buns and pastries

• Operating machines which roll and mould dough

• Emptying, cleaning and greasing baking trays, tins and other cooking equipment

• Checking the cleanliness of equipment and operation of premises before production runs to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations

Experience and Requirements:

• Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience in a professional kitchen environment

• Experience training, developing, and mentoring kitchen teams

• Strong communication and leadership skills

• Passionate about the hospitality industry

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment
