About the role
The Senior Contracts Officer is responsible for developing and managing intricate contracts related to mental health, alcohol and drug services. This includes providing advice on procurement policies, planning and implementing procurement processes, and managing stakeholder relationships. The position also monitors contract performance, prepares regular reports and updates and manages discrete projects as required.

The Commission is responsible for commissioning public mental health and alcohol and other drug services, as well as developing strategic policy and leading the planning and reform of mental health services in Western Australia. This Senior Contracts Officer role will assist in the development and management of contracts between the Commission and Health Service Providers for the delivery of mental health and alcohol and other drug services.
This includes assisting with contract formation, budgeting and financial analysis, stakeholder relationship management, contractual performance monitoring, report preparation, correspondence drafting, and the management of discrete projects as required. This role contributes to improving outcomes in the mental health sector by helping to ensure that vital mental health programs are delivered effectively and to a high standard.
Your expertise in contract management will directly influence the quality of services, ensuring that contractual arrangements contribute to better mental health outcomes.
