Job Description
Hanrahan Health are excited to announce that we are expanding the range of supports we provide to our clients by adding positive behaviour support!
We are looking for an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners of all experience and suitability levels in Aspley. Whether you are just starting your Behaviour Support career or have suitability levels Core, Proficient or Advanced, we want to hear from you!
On a daily basis you will be:
Assisting NDIS participants, along with their families and/or carers, to identify their needs through assessment and person-centred planningEvaluating, developing and delivering evidence-based support plans within a complex support spaceDeveloping meaningful goals and practical strategies utilising a positive behaviour support framework, and with a commitment to eliminate restrictive practices, in the home and communityEnsuring individual plans reflect our NDIS participants' goals, passions and strengthsBuilding the knowledge, capacity and strengths of those who support participants in their lives - family, carers, friends, etcWorking collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including mentoring less experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners.
Qualifications
About you
Proven experience supporting people with disabilities within the NDIS, including complex and challenging behaviours
Qualifications as a Behaviour Support Practitioner or relevant disability sector experience, supported by a Degree or Diploma
Strong report writing, time management, and organisational skills
A proactive, solution-focused mindset with excellent people skills and a passion for supporting individuals with complex needs
Hold a valid drivers licence and access to a reliable motor vehicleBenefits for you
