Clinical Nurse Palliative Care

• Salary: $90,913 - $114,917 p.a (adjusted to hours worked)
• Temporary, Part Time - 22.8 hours per week (0.6 fte 5-day roster), available now until 30th January 2027 

WHAT ARE WE OFFERING? 

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurse to join the Palliative Care Team and provide high-quality, patient-centred nursing care. This role combines strong clinical practice with accountability for care delivery, including oversight of delegated tasks and support for less experienced staff.  

Predominantly clinical, in this position you will also play an active role in shaping how the service runs day to day. You will support the Nurse Unit Manager and Palliative Care Nurse Consultant with team coordination and contribute to quality improvement activities.  There is also the opportunity to be involved in audits, research and service-wide projects, giving you the chance to influence practice, support change, and help build a strong, positive learning culture.

HOW WILL YOU CONTRIBUTE? 

• Deliver person-centred nursing care, including assessment, care planning, clinical interventions and evaluation of patient outcomes.
• Coordinate and monitor care delivery to ensure safe, consistent and responsive services for patients, clients and their families.
• Provide shift-based support, clinical guidance and act as a resource person for the nursing/midwifery team.
• Support the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager with clinical activities, education, service coordination and quality improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to teaching, mentoring, audits, research and projects that improve clinical practice and patient care outcomes.
