Dental Assistant

About the role

Aminya St Dental is seeking a compassionate and organised Dental Assistant to join our team on a casual /part-time basis approximately 2 days per week. Based in Mansfield, QLD 4122, this role is fundamental to delivering exceptional patient care and maintaining the smooth operation of our dental practice. As a Dental Assistant, you will work alongside our dental professionals to provide clinical and administrative support, ensuring every patient receives a positive experience from the moment they arrive.

Key responsibilities

• Assisting dentists during clinical procedures by passing instruments, maintaining a clear operating field and ensuring patient comfort

• Greeting patients, scheduling appointments and managing the front desk on a regular basis

• Preparing treatment rooms and sterilising dental instruments according to infection control protocols and standards

• Recording patient information accurately and maintaining confidential dental records

• Providing chair-side support during various dental treatments including preventative, restorative and cosmetic procedures

• Restocking treatment areas and maintaining inventory of dental supplies and materials

• Following all health and safety regulations, including infection control and waste management protocols

What we're looking for

• Completion of Certificate III Dental Assistant qualification or equivalent training

• Strong knowledge of dental procedures, terminology and clinical protocols

• Proven ability to work the reception with strong communication skills

• Proficiency in dental practice management software and basic computer skills

• Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with dental professionals and patients

• A genuine passion for patient care and commitment to maintaining a welcoming practice environment
