Candidate Resourcer

Pillar Partners is growing, and we’re looking for a Candidate Resourcer to join our team and work closely with our experienced Recruitment Consultants across the construction industry.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to get into recruitment, develop strong market knowledge and ultimately progress into a stand-alone Recruitment Consultant.

We’re not looking for someone to simply sit behind a database and send CVs.

You’ll be trained to understand the construction market, identify high-quality professionals, build candidate relationships and become an integral part of the recruitment process.

The Opportunity

You’ll work directly alongside our consultants on live recruitment assignments across the construction industry, supporting the identification and engagement of candidates for roles including:

• Project Managers
• Site Managers
• Contracts Administrators
• Contracts Managers
• Estimators
• Construction Managers
• Project Directors
• Senior Management & Executive appointments

You’ll be given the tools, technology, training and support required to become highly effective at sourcing candidates.

As your knowledge and confidence develops, you’ll progressively take on more responsibility before transitioning into a full Recruitment Consultant role, managing your own candidates, clients and recruitment processes.

What You'll Be Doing

• Working closely with consultants to understand specific job briefs and candidate requirements
• Proactively sourcing candidates through LinkedIn, recruitment platforms, databases and other channels
• Identifying high-calibre construction professionals who aren't necessarily actively looking for a new role
• Engaging candidates through LinkedIn, email and phone
• Conducting initial candidate conversations and understanding their experience, motivations and career goals
• Qualifying candidates against specific opportunities
• Building and maintaining a strong candidate network within the construction industry
• Keeping candidate information and activity up to date within our CRM
• Assisting consultants throughout the recruitment process
• Learning the construction market, companies, projects, salaries and career movements
• Gradually taking ownership of your own candidate relationships and recruitment assignments

Who We're Looking For

You don't necessarily need recruitment experience.

We’re more interested in your attitude, personality and ambition.

You could be coming from:

• Recruitment / Talent Acquisition
• Sales or Business Development
• Customer Service / Account Management
• Construction or property
• Administration / coordination
• Hospitality or another highly people-focused environment

Most importantly, you’ll need to be someone who:

Your Career Path

This role is designed with progression in mind.

You'll initially focus on becoming an outstanding Candidate Resourcer — learning how to identify talent, engage candidates, understand the construction market and support consultants on live assignments.

From there, you'll transition into a Recruitment Consultant, taking ownership of your own candidate relationships before progressing into managing clients, winning new business and building your own desk.

We want to develop people internally rather than simply hiring experienced recruiters from elsewhere.
