MECHANIC (no weekend work required)

Bridgestone Select Tyre & Auto Tapping is looking for an experienced, qualified and reliable Motor Mechanic to join our team. If you take pride in your workmanship, have strong mechanical and diagnostic skills, and understand the importance of delivering great customer service, we want to hear from you.

Working at Bridgestone Select Tyre & Auto Tapping, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality mechanical repairs and servicing while maintaining the highest standards of safety, workmanship and customer service.

You’ll work across a range of passenger vehicles, light commercial vehicles and 4WDs, with duties including but not limited to:

• General mechanical repairs and maintenance

• Vehicle servicing and inspections

• Mechanical fault finding and diagnosis

• Engine management diagnosis

• Brake and suspension repairs

• Parts identification and ordering

• Providing customers with clear vehicle diagnosis and repair recommendations, including video reporting

• Limited tyre fitting & wheel alignments

• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop

We’re looking for a mechanic who is professional, reliable, capable and takes genuine pride in their work.

You’ll have strong knowledge across a variety of vehicle makes and models, excellent attention to detail and the ability to confidently diagnose and repair vehicles to a high standard.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A recognised Motor Mechanic Trade Qualification

• Sound mechanical and diagnostic experience

• Experience working on passenger, light commercial and 4WD vehicles

• The ability to work independently and effectively manage your time

• Strong attention to detail and pride in your workmanship

• A professional, punctual and responsible attitude

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• A strong commitment to workplace health and safety

• The ability to follow HSE policies and procedures

• A current Australian manual driver's licence

• Wheel alignment experience desirable — training can be provided
