Senior Project Engineer

Full time Senior Mechanical Project Engineer required to deliver sustaining capital projects portfolio for a Lithium operator.  You will be based on site, with a 4/3, 4/3 and 8/6 roster to manage brownfield projects.

This role provides an exciting opportunity to be part of our client's team in delivering sustaining capital improvements to a mine facility. 

Key duties include but not limited to:

• Collaborate with all key stakeholders to define the front-end development phases of improvement initiatives.

• Ensure that initiatives are robust, aligned to objectives, economics are clear and deliverables are aligned to the gated deliver process.

• Monitor, control and report all contractor activities, taking required corrective actions to ensure safe delivery of projects.

• Prepare and present scopes and study results to stakeholders as part of gated approval process.

• Participate in site investigations and development of corrective strategies and actions.

• Coordinate required resources, including site functions to ensure best utilisation of skills.

• Identify, mitigate and manage project risks.

• Weekly reporting/updates, cost control and project tracking.

• Participate in detailed design review, constructability review and value improvement practices.

• All travel expenses are fully reimbursed.

Key attributes for success:

• Bachelor in engineering, with 7 or more years of experience in project delivery 

• Minimum of 5 years in brownfield execution experience, working as a Senior or Project Engineer with demonstration of experience in capital projects across all stages/phases

• Experience of processing (HMS, Separation) plant or similar industrial environments.

• Track record of managing stakeholders in a professional and adaptive manner

• Strong written and verbal communication

• A can-do attitude
