About the role
Noosa Council values the contribution of our people and is committed to creating a workplace where employees feel supported, respected and empowered to succeed. We celebrate diversity and are proud to foster an inclusive environment that promotes health and wellbeing, work-life balance and meaningful career development.
Join our supportive and progressive organisation and be part of a team delivering on our vision - ‘Noosa Shire - different by nature’
Lead Noosa Council's Local Laws team in delivering effective compliance, education, and enforcement programs that help protect the community's lifestyle, safety, and amenity. This is a rewarding leadership role where you'll manage complex regulatory matters, provide expert advice, and drive continuous improvement across local law services. Working closely with a broad range of stakeholders, you'll play a key role in balancing community outcomes with legislative requirements. If you're an experienced people leader with a strong regulatory background, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in Noosa.
You are an experienced regulatory leader with a strong understanding of local laws, compliance, and enforcement. A confident communicator, you can navigate complex and sensitive matters while delivering practical, community-focused outcomes. You thrive in a leadership role, empowering teams to perform at their best and fostering a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement. Most importantly, you are committed to protecting and enhancing the lifestyle, safety, and amenity that make Noosa unique.
At Noosa Council, being Different by Nature is more than our location, it reflects how we work, how we support our people, and how we serve our community. We are committed to creating a workplace that is inclusive, respectful and supportive, where diversity is valued and equal opportunity underpins our recruitment, development and career opportunities.
Our people play an important role in protecting Noosa’s unique natural environment while delivering services that support a thriving and sustainable community. Through our Certified Agreement 2025 and broader workforce initiatives, we have made a strategic investment in our employees to provide financial security, modern flexibility and meaningful wellbeing support throughout their careers.
