About the role

Advanced Functional Medicine is seeking a Naturopath / Functional Medicine Practitioner to join our team in Palmyra, WA. This is a contract position offering a unique opportunity to work within a progressive natural therapies and alternative medicine practice. As a Naturopath / Functional Medicine Practitioner, you will be at the forefront of delivering integrative healthcare solutions to our clients, combining evidence-based functional medicine principles with naturopathic expertise to promote optimal health and wellbeing.

What you'll be doing

• Conducting comprehensive health assessments and consultations using functional medicine and naturopathic approaches

• Developing personalised treatment plans that integrate nutrition, herbal medicine, supplementation and lifestyle modifications

• Ordering and interpreting functional medicine testing and diagnostic assessments

• Providing evidence-based naturopathic treatment protocols aligned with functional medicine principles

• Managing acute and chronic health conditions through natural and functional approaches

• Educating clients on nutrition, preventative health strategies and the integration of complementary therapies

• Maintaining detailed and accurate client records and clinical documentation

• Building strong client relationships and delivering exceptional patient-centred care

• Staying current with developments in functional medicine and naturopathic practice

• Collaborating with other healthcare practitioners as appropriate to support client outcomes

What we're looking for

• Current registration or qualification as a Naturopath with recognised credentials from an accredited natural therapies training institution

• Demonstrated knowledge and practical experience in functional medicine assessment and treatment protocols

• Strong understanding of nutritional biochemistry, herbal medicine, and supplementation

• Excellent consultation and communication skills with the ability to explain complex health concepts in an accessible manner

• Proven ability to conduct thorough case histories and develop evidence-based treatment plans

• Professional approach to client confidentiality and clinical record-keeping

• Commitment to continued professional development and staying informed of current research

• Ability to work autonomously whilst maintaining professional standards

• Experience with functional medicine testing interpretation (such as micronutrient analysis, comprehensive stool analysis, Organic Acids and advanced pathology)

• Existing client base or strong networking abilities (advantageous)
