This is an exciting opportunity to join our project team based in our Sydney office.

This role is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of HVAC equipment projects into Data Centre environments, ensuring compliance with customer technical specifications, quality standards, and critical commissioning requirements.

Responsibilities Include

Project Delivery & Execution

Manage full lifecycle delivery of HVAC equipment projects (e.g. chillers, CRAH/CRAC units, plant systems) into data centre environmentsLead project execution from handover through engineering, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, installation, commissioning, and final handoverEnsure strict adherence to data centre standards, specifications, and commissioning protocolsMaintain detailed project schedules, critical path tracking, and milestone management aligned to client programs

Financial & Commercial Management

Own project financial performance including:Revenue tracking and forecastingGross Margin (GM%) performanceCost control and variation managementIdentify and drive margin improvement opportunitiesEnsure timely invoicing and UBR reduction through accurate milestone completionStakeholder & Customer ManagementAct as primary interface between:Customers (Data Centre operators, Tier 1 contractors)Internal teams (engineering, factory, service, logistics)Build strong working relationships with key clients to support repeat business and customer satisfaction (NPS)Manage contractor and subcontractor performance on-site

Technical Delivery & Commissioning

Full coordination and ownership of the complex and multitier commissioning processOversee technical compliance including:Equipment specifications and submittalsFAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and witness testingSAT (Site Acceptance Testing) and commissioningIdentify project risks early (supply chain, program, technical, commercial) and implement mitigation strategiesEnsure compliance with:QA standardsOHS&E requirementsData centre quality expectations (zero-defect mindset)

What We Are Looking For

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or HVAC-related discipline OR Trade background with extensive HVAC project experienceProven experience delivering large HVAC equipment projects (chillers, plant systems) into Data Centres or critical environmentsStrong understanding of data centre design principles, redundancy, and mission-critical operationsExperience with FAT, SAT, and commissioning processesKnowledge of: HVAC systems for mission-critical environmentsMechanical and electrical interfacesAbility to review technical specifications, drawings, and design documentationExperience in project financial management (forecasting, GM, cost control)Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, and reporting toolsUnderstanding of supply chain and manufacturing lead timesStrong leadership and accountability mindsetAbility to operate in high-pressure, program-driven environmentsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityProactive problem solver with continuous improvement focus
