Civil Engineer

Our Client is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join the team and contribute to a variety of infrastructure, subdivision and development projects across the region.

Working closely with their Design Team Leaders, Design Manager and multidisciplinary project teams, you will undertake engineering design, documentation and project coordination, provide practical technical advice and help deliver quality outcomes for clients from planning through to construction. The role offers hands-on project exposure, client interaction and genuine opportunities to build your technical and project management capability within an experienced, collaborative team.

Key responsibilities:

• Work on a diverse range of civil infrastructure, subdivision and development projects.
• Take projects from design and documentation through to construction and delivery.
• Prepare and review civil designs, drawings, reports and project documentation.
• Coordinate projects and work closely with clients, consultants and contractors.
• Contribute to practical, cost-effective engineering solutions that meet client and regulatory requirements.
• Undertake site inspections and be involved in projects beyond the desk.
• Provide technical input and collaborate with other members of the design team.
• Build strong client relationships and contribute to future project opportunities.

About you:

• University Engineering Degree or equivalent recognised by Engineers Australia, with eligibility for membership of Engineers Australia.
• Minimum 3 years previous engineering design experience within an engineering consultancy, local government or equivalent organisation.
• Working knowledge of 12D Model and AutoCAD. DRAINS and MUSIC software is an advantage.
• Experience with water and sewer design in accordance with Hunter Water Corporation requirements is an advantage.
• Ability to work well both autonomously and within a team environment.
• Strong communication, negotiation, problem solving, critical thinking, organisational and prioritisation skills.
