Key Responsibilities 

As a Sales Exec, you’ll support the C&E manager in driving the success of the department and achieving results. This role focuses driving productivity and profitability, reviewing and assessing the training of C&E staff and growing revenue streams.

• To maximise all conference and events revenue opportunities.
• To assist in preparing quotes, issuing contracts, communications, database input and filing.
• To be fully versed on the products, packages and capacities of the banquet department and hotel outlets in order to be able to provide professional advice and guidance to prospective clients and to sell the space appropriately.
• Follow up all pending quotes and convert to tentative bookings where possible.
• Follow up on tentative bookings and convert to confirmed bookings.
• Have knowledge of the departments revenue and conversion targets and actively work towards meeting these budgets
• To issue event orders and floor plans along with all relevant information to the operational areas and clients.
• Daily administration activities including client and internal correspondence
• Follow all procedures with regard to deposits and payment schedules for all event bookings and special event bookings.
• To be familiar with current market offers through internet and other research.
• To conduct site inspections including clients and third party suppliers as required for coordination of events.
•  To attend all relevant sales, operations and administrative meetings.
• To communicate with reservations regarding room blocks.
• To ensure post event follow-up is complete after all events.
• Maintain accurate client records, bookings and sales activity in iVvy.
• Work closely with Reservations, Events and Operations to ensure a seamless client experience.
• Monitor lost business, market trends and competitor activity to improve sales performance.
• Prepare sales reports and maintain an organised pipeline of enquiries.
• Provide exceptional customer service while supporting the overall success of the Conference & Events team.

What You’ll Bring

• 1-2 years of previous experience in similar role ideally coming from the Hotels or Event companies.
• Experience in managing and coordinating end-to-end C&E sales, with a strong focus on yield management and revenue growth.
• Skilled in designing and delivering training programs, tracking development progress, and maintaining up-to-date training resources.
• Demonstrated success in building strong industry relationships and promoting loyalty programs to enhance client engagement and retention.
• Adept at cross-functional collaboration, reporting, and strategic planning to support smooth event execution and drive departmental profitability.

• Collaborative team player skilled in working with back‑of‑house teams, providing onsite event coordination, and supporting colleagues across departments.

This is a fixed-term 9 month contract, temporary visa holders welcome to apply.
