About the Role        

We are looking for an experienced Quality Control Inspector to join our team at our West Melbourne office.

Reporting to the Quality Manager, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the quality and compliance of products throughout the manufacturing process. You’ll be responsible for performing Quality Control inspections on incoming goods, in-process products and outgoing goods in accordance with approved inspection instructions and quality requirements.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced technical environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support quality outcomes and successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

In executing this role, you will be responsible for:

• Inspecting incoming materials, in-process items, and final assemblies against drawings and specifications using measuring tools.

• Assisting the Quality Manager in resolving issues CPAR’s, creating non-conformance reports, and performing First Article inspections.

• Efficiently using the ERP systems to record inspections, and handle quality transactions.

• Maintaining accurate inspection records and documentation using Microsoft Excel, Word, and company systems to ensure traceability.

• Ensuring all files and records comply with Tectonica’s ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements and document control procedures.

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Science or a related field

• Proven 2 years’ experience as Quality Inspector in a manufacturing or electronics environment

• Intermediary proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word

• Excellent written and verbal communication

• Ability to multitask, prioritise and adapt to changes

• Australian citizenship or right to work in Australia
