The Role — Casual / Part-Time Chefs 

We’re seeking experienced chefs for casual and part-time work at Whalebridge. This role is ideal for chefs who want flexible shifts while working with quality produce in a professional, well-organised kitchen. You’ll support the team across preparation, service and section work, with the opportunity to contribute your experience without the full-time commitment. 

Key Responsibilities

• Work Across prep, service, plating and section tasks as required.

• Prepare, cook and plate menu items according to recipes, portion controls, and high-quality venue standards 

• Support Mise En Place, stock rotation and kitchen organisation to ensure smooth service

• Maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness and consistency across the kitchen 

Skills & Experience

Experience:

• Previous chef experience in a busy, fast-paced kitchen environment

• Confident knife skills, strong food safety knowledge and the ability to work cleanly and efficiently

• Comfortable jumping into different sections and supporting the steam where needed

• Reliable, organised and calm under pressure during busy service periods

• A positive, team-focused attitude and genuine appreciation for quality food, fresh produce and great guest experiences.
