Room Service Support Officer

About the role

Join our Room Service Support Centre as a Casual Room Service Support Officer and play an important role in enhancing the patient experience across multiple St John of God Health Care hospitals. Working in a fast-paced call centre environment, you will be the first point of contact for patients, assisting with menu enquiries, providing information about meal options, and entering meal selections into our meal ordering system to help ensure patients receive the meals they need.

In this customer-focused role, you will deliver exceptional service over the phone, accurately process meal orders, and work closely with the team to ensure a smooth and efficient service.

This casual opportunity offers a variety of shifts available to support operational requirements, making it an ideal role for individuals seeking flexibility and meaningful work in a supportive healthcare environment.

Your skills and experience

You will have the ability to accurately interpret menus and meal options, along with a sound understanding of common food allergens and the ability to read and interpret food labels to ensure appropriate meal selections are made for patients.

To be successful in this role, you will have the ability to understand and respond to the diverse needs of patients, including cultural, religious, and dietary requirements, ensuring appropriate meal selections are made to support their wellbeing and overall patient experience.

We can offer you

• Salary: $39.08 to $40.20 per hour (casual loading included), plus 12% superannuation
