Document Controller

Wood has a collaborative maintenance contract with Seqwater to deliver leading maintenance services in the water industry. These projects cover South East Queensland across multiple locations, assisting Seqwater to provide water for more than 3 million people.

Wood is currently recruiting for a Document Controller role in Brisbane or Ipswich for a period of 6 months, with the possibility of extension. Your role is to lead the development and ongoing management of a proactive and compliant document control system within the Major Projects Group by:

• Effectively managing the internal record-keeping procedures and systems across the group
• Being the key contact for document control services across the individual project teams
• Overseeing responsibility for the maintenance and control of all project documentation from the project team and external stakeholders
• Work with the project team and contractors to ensure document submissions are in accordance and compliant with the project document formats and requirements and that timely reviews and responses to Requests for Information (RFI) and other contractual requirements are undertaken
• Responsible for the system administrator duties of the Major Projects construction project management software InEight (Team Binder) including configuration, creation and management of user accounts, maintenance of security access and associated reporting and auditing requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a Document Controller in a large capital infrastructure project environment
• Experience using and administrating a variety Document Management Systems and other specialised project software (InEight / Team Binder and HP TRIM experience desirable).
• Experience controlling project, engineering design, and contractor documents and drawings
• Management of complex document distribution matrices
• Experience with creation of training manuals, presentations and material, and delivery of training
• High level communication both verbal and written, consultation and negotiation skills 
• Highly developed analytical, research and problem-solving skills
• Experience working within an ISO9001 quality management system.

The role has the option of being based in the Brisbane CBD or Ipswich.
