The successful candidate will oversee and manage the revenue and expenditure function, whilst working collaboratively with and supporting the Finance Team. What this role looks like: 
•    Lead and supervise the Expenditure and Revenue team to deliver accurate, timely and compliant financial operation services
•    Plan, allocate and monitor team workloads
•    Provide technical guidance, coaching and support to team members
•    Review and oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, receipting, banking, supplier payment and debtor management activities.
•    Coordinate and review reconciliations between creditor and debtor accounts, supplier statement, daily banking, sub-systems, external systems and he general ledger.
•    Oversee month-end reconciliations, journals and reporting activities
•    Lead debt recovery activities.
•    Maintain oversight of financial records, registers and master data.
•    Provide financial information, stakeholder advice and audit support.
•    Support finance system implementation, testing and continuous improvement
•    Lead the development, implementation and review of standard operating procedures

What are we seeking from our Expenditure & Revenue Team Leader
1.    Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Accounting or similar 
2.    Sound accounting knowledge, including reconciliations, financial reporting, internal controls and compliance requirements.
3.    Demonstrated experience leading and supporting a finance team, including workload coordination, coaching and quality review.
4.    Strong communication, problem solving and stakeholder management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
5.    Extensive Experience (3-5 years) in Local Government or similar regulated environment is desirable
