Driver/Storeman

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Driver/Storeman to join the team at Tradelink Heidelberg West. This is a full-time position based in Heidelberg West VIC 3081. In this dual-function role, you will be responsible for both driving and warehouse duties, playing a crucial part in our warehousing, storage and distribution operations. Your contributions will be essential to ensuring efficient logistics and timely delivery of products to our customers whilst maintaining our warehouse standards. This role offers the opportunity to develop expertise across both transportation and storage functions within a dynamic logistics environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles safely and professionally, adhering to all relevant traffic regulations and company driving policies

• Collect and deliver products to customers in a timely and courteous manner, ensuring customer satisfaction

• Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues or damage

• Receive, check and store incoming goods accurately using warehouse management systems

• Pick, pack and prepare orders for dispatch according to specifications and delivery schedules

• Maintain warehouse organisation, cleanliness and safety standards at all times

• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently where required

• Keep accurate records of inventory, goods received and dispatched items

• Assist with stock taking and cycle counts as required

• Support the wider team to ensure smooth daily operations and meet performance targets

What we're looking for

• A valid driver's licence and proven driving experience with a clean driving record

• Forklift ticket or willingness to obtain one

• Previous experience in a warehousing, storage or distribution environment

• Strong organisational and time-management skills with attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling tasks regularly

• Good communication skills and a professional, courteous demeanour

• Reliability and punctuality with a commitment to health and safety practices

• Computer literacy and familiarity with warehouse management systems (preferred)

• Current working with children check or willingness to obtain one (if applicable)
