Qualified Butcher and Apprentice

About the role

At Scarfo's Meating Place', we are seeking both a Qualified Butcher for roughly 20-30 hours per week and a Full time Apprentice Butcher to join our team in Myaree, WA.

These position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a thriving local business that prides itself on providing high-quality meat products and exceptional customer service. As a Qualified Butcher or Apprentice Butcher, you will play a key role in supporting our operations and contributing to the overall success of the company.

What you'll be doing

• Expertly cutting, preparing, and packaging a variety of meat products to meet customer orders and maintain stock levels

• Providing outstanding customer service by offering product recommendations and sharing your extensive knowledge of meat and butchery

• Assisting with the general operations of the butchery, including inventory management, equipment maintenance, and cleaning

• For the Apprentice role, you will also be learning the trade under the guidance of our experienced Qualified Butchers, with the opportunity to develop your skills and progress in your career

What we're looking for

• For the Qualified Butcher role: Minimum 3 years of experience as a qualified butcher, with a strong understanding of meat handling, cutting techniques, and customer service

• For the Apprentice role: A passion for the butchery trade and a willingness to learn, with or without prior experience

• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to provide expert advice and recommendations to customers

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety

• A team-oriented approach and the ability to work collaboratively with your colleagues
