The Role

As the Manager - Fertiliser Trading, you will lead CBH’s fertiliser trading division across granular and liquid products, helping connect WA growers with reliable, competitively priced fertiliser solutions. Working closely with the Head of Fertiliser and the broader Marketing and Trading team, you will manage relationships with global producers and traders, pricing, commercial risk and trading performance, while supporting the continued growth of CBH’s fertiliser division.

Responsibilities include:

Lead our trading activities for our fertiliser division , including pricing, procurement, supplier engagement and sales execution.Monitor fertiliser markets, freight, FX, supply availability and seasonal demand to guide informed commercial decisions.Work closely with internal teams to support product availability, sales, vessel planning, storage, logistics and grower delivery.Build trusted relationships with global producers and traders, growers, and consultants to support commercial outcomes and grower value.Manage trading performance, market risk compliance, margin, stock exposure, credit risk and reporting to support disciplined and sustainable growth.

About You:

Hold a tertiary qualification in business, commerce, trading, agriculture, agronomy, or related disciplineDemonstrated experience in a commodities trading role ideally with exposure to fertiliser and/or agricultural inputs. Confident using market insights, commercial analysis and sound judgement to make practical trading and pricing decisions.Strong understanding of WA agriculture, grower needs, seasonal demand, fertiliser products and key pricing drivers.Robust understanding of governance, risk and compliance obligations, and the ability to manage these effectively in a commercial trading environment.
