Practice Manager Opportunity

The Dental Studio is a modern, well-established dental practice located at 1 Sigatoka Place, Clear Island Waters. We're known for delivering next-level dental care across general, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry, in a warm, welcoming environment where patients feel genuinely looked after.

Our friendly team of experienced dentists is supported by a strong administrative and clinical crew, and we pride ourselves on offering thorough, personalised, pressure-free dentistry. We're preferred providers for Bupa, Medibank, NIB, HCF, TUH, and CBHS Health, and we're proud to bulk bill eligible kids under the Child Dental Benefits Scheme (CDBS).

As Practice Manager, you'll be the driving force behind the smooth running of our clinic. You'll manage our front-of-house and clinical support teams, oversee day-to-day operations, and help create an outstanding experience for every patient who walks through our doors, all while supporting our dentists to focus on delivering exceptional care.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily practice operations, ensuring efficient scheduling, patient flow, and service delivery

• Lead, mentor, and roster the reception and dental assistant team

• Manage patient billing, health fund claims (HICAPS), and payment plans (Humm, AfterPay)

• Monitor practice performance, budgets, and reporting

• Maintain compliance with dental industry regulations, infection control, and workplace health & safety standards

• Handle recruitment, onboarding, and staff training and development

• Manage supplier relationships and stock/inventory control

• Support marketing initiatives and community engagement to grow the practice

• Act as the key point of contact for patient feedback and service resolution

• Work closely with the Principal Dentist and Business Manager to drive practice growth and culture

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience as a Practice Manager, ideally within a dental or allied health setting

• Strong leadership skills with a hands-on, people-first management style

• Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities

• Confident with practice management software and health fund/HICAPS processes

• A proactive problem-solver with great communication skills

• A genuine passion for patient care and team culture

• Knowledge of CDBS, health fund provider arrangements, and dental compliance requirements (highly regarded)
