Your role as Community Engagement Advisor will have a positive impact in your local community and in turn, the organisation, through aligning activities to the branch business plan and building a pipeline of new prospects and opportunities. 

In this dynamic and high-impact role, you'll make your mark by:  

• Immersing yourself within the local community. You'll have a mind for networking and collaborations and will work with the board and branch management team to seek out, nurture and organise community relationships, partnerships and events.  

• Telling our stories. Through various channels, you'll help spread the word and celebrate the work we do within the community.

• Supporting / assisting with social media and local marketing activation. You will play a part in driving engagement through various social media platforms.

• Being a lifelong learner. Bring your brilliant mind, and we'll help you take your career to the next level with on-the-job training and other learning opportunities.  

• Building connections. A role at Bendigo Bank means supporting our customers, giving back and making our communities a better place… while having some fun along the way!    

This is a permanent part- time position located in Bacchus Marsh the roster is 45 hours per fortnight, we're flexible on what days this person will work.

What you'll bring to the role 

To succeed in this role, you'll be a proud brand ambassador. We'd love you to have:  

• An understanding and established connection with the local community 

• Strong customer service and customer experience ethos 

• Ability to drive and maintain effective working relationships and networks 

• Effective communication skills to share our Community Bank story 

• Excellent time management and organisational skills 

• Experience in marketing and managing social media pages (desirable, but not essential)

• Project or event management experience (desirable, but not essential) 

• Confidence with technology and experience in digital platforms and creative/editing tools (also, not essential)
