Senior Sales Manager

Our client is a global leader in data and AI and they've spent decades helping public sector organisations turn complex, messy, high-stakes data into decisions that actually hold up.

As the successful Senior Sales Manager you'll lead a team of Account Executives across the Canberra Federal Government sector and the wider Australian State Government departments, with a clear mandate to grow. This is not a role where you manage from a dashboard. You'll be in the room opening doors at executive level, shaping deals, and coaching your team through the ones that matter.

You'll own:

• Total software revenue and the growth plan behind it
• Direct leadership, coaching and development of your AE team
• Executive and C-level relationships across government agencies
• Modernisation and expansion within a substantial existing customer base
• Partner ecosystem development as a part of your go-to-market

What we're looking for:

• Sales management experience ideally with a software vendor, selling into public sector
• A track record of building and executing a credible public sector GTM strategy
• Genuine coaching ability, you develop people, you don't just performance-manage them
• Experience developing a partner ecosystem
• Proven C-level negotiation and the ability to close large, strategic deals
• Real relationships inside government agencies, and the credibility to open new ones
• Strength in selling business outcomes and modernisation programs, not product features
